An exciting gathering of the Swiss IP Counsel took place at FIFA HQ in Zurich, where Daniel Zohny, FIFA’s Head of Intellectual Property and Member of the Executive Committee – INTA, delivered a captivating and thought provoking presentation titled “NFTs: New IP frontier or business as usual?”. Daniel led participants on a journey through the basics of NFTs, through to the legal issues regarding copyright protection, ownership and licenses, trademarks and emerging case law. The session was topped off with a live demo, showing how to mint and buy NFTs. As always, broad experiences among the participants were shared in a lively discussion following Daniel’s presentation.
