The 7th Swiss IP Counsel Round Table event took place at the historic EF Education First building in the former stock exchange in Zurich. The session was expertly led by Matthias Studer from the top retailer and largest Swiss employer Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund, talking all things AI. The event featured an enlightening morning of thought-provoking exploration of the intersection between Artificial Intelligence, Intellectual Property and the resulting real-world implications and opportunities for businesses and legal professionals.

Matthias shared fascinating experiences, insights and fun examples from the Migros team. Our round table of enthusiastic participants included a robust discussion of the following questions:

  1. What were the most useful and most challenging things you experienced in connection with using gen AI in your company?
  2. Did you make any guidelines? Why? Why not?
  3. How do you deal with the typical e-mail from business with “hey, we have this awesome new AI tool. Can we use it”?
  4. Do you currently use gen AI in your daily work? If so, what tools are you using and how? Do you use service providers who make use of AI?

Once again, feedback from the event has been very positive. Participants highly value the opportunity to exchange with peers facing similar challenges in a collegial setting.

Our thanks to the venue host Anna-Lena Wolfe and EF Education First, Matthias, Migros and all the insightful IP Counsel participants who made the event successful. We look forward to meeting again soon!
